Stars are earned by completing daily lessons and reaching milestones. They determine your position in the weekly leagues.

Achievements

Achievements are permanent milestones you earn throughout your learning journey — completing a number of lessons, hitting streak goals, using the daily word consistently, and more. You can view all your achievements from your Profile.

How stars differ from gems

Gems are a currency you spend to unlock extra lessons. Stars are a score that determines your league ranking. They are earned differently and used for different things.
