Stars are earned by completing lessons and reaching milestones. They determine your position in the weekly leagues.

Achievements

Achievements are permanent milestones you earn throughout your learning journey — completing a number of lessons, hitting streak goals, using the daily word consistently, and more. You can view all your achievements from your Profile.

How stars differ from gems

Gems are points you collect as you practice, and soon you will be able to spend them inside the app. Stars are a score that determines your league ranking. They are earned differently and used for different things.
