My microphone isn't working / Loora can't hear me
The most common cause: tapping instead of holding
Loora uses Push-to-Talk by default. You must hold the button the entire time you are speaking.
- Press and hold the microphone button
- Speak while holding it — do not release until you are finished
- Release when you finish speaking
If you tap and release quickly, Loora does not capture your voice.
Prefer not to hold the button? Switch to Hands-Free mode
- Look for the toggle button next to the microphone icon
- Switch from Push-to-Talk to Hands-Free
- Tap once to start → speak → tap again to stop
Check microphone permissions
On iPhone: Settings → Loora → Microphone — make sure it is turned on (green).
On Android: Settings → Apps → Loora → Permissions → Microphone — make sure it is set to Allow.
Other fixes
- Close Loora completely and reopen it
- Restart your phone
- Make sure nothing is physically blocking the microphone (phone case, finger, dust)
- Move to a quieter place — background noise makes it harder for Loora to pick up your voice
